Awards:
In 2008, the municipality of Puerto Ayora, the largest city in Galapagos, granted an award to Sven Lindblad as the person "who has done the most for the conservation of the Galapagos Islands" for his commitment to the preservation and conservation of the Galapagos archipelago and his commitment to the local community. Also in 2008, the National Wildlife Federation honored Lindblad Expeditions with its Conservation Achievement Award for Corporate Achievement. In 2007, Lindblad was awarded the "Seafood Champion Award" and the Tourism for Tomorrow "Global Tourism Business Award."
